Burt’s Bees Cleansing Towelettes Review

I religiously use cleansing towelette to remove my makeup. They not only remove makeup but the texture of the towelette helps clean the skin better. It contains make up remover or other cleansing ingredients that can be a big factor in the health of your skin. I got these Burt’s Bees all natural cleansing towelette in the fall Target Beauty box. I finally used these and here’s the review.

This claims to be 99.1% natural

My Experience with using these:

When you first see them, you will notice that they are plain and doesn’t have any texture to them. But they are exfoliating enough to clean the skin. I use them on both sides. It has a strong scent to it. It’s a pleasant fragrance, nothing chemical like. I don’t use any makeup towelette on their own. I massage eye makeup removing cream and then wipe it off with a towelette. I do each eye one by one. Then I massage cleansing oil into my skin and then wipe it off with the towelette. Then I take a clean towelette and wipe my face and this time lips, clean. I noticed that this towelette does leave a slight oily residue. I definitely need to wash my face with a foaming face wash although it claims that it removes dirt, oil and makeup without rinsing. As I am wiping my face with these, I notice that there is a slight tingling and slightly burning sensation on my skin. But this didn’t break me out although it caused slight irritation and redness for a short while. Also, the packaging is great. It’s the ones where there is a sticky part that you lift up to take the wipe. It keeps the packet air tight when you shut them.

  1. The packaging

  1. The strong scent
  2. The tingling/ burning sensation
  3. Non-textured wipe
  4. Leaves oily residue

Rating: 2/5

Will I repurchase? No, I will not. I prefer using my Holy Grail wipes. I just used these up because I got these in a beauty box.

Eucerin Smoothing Repair Dry Skin Lotion

eucerin smooth3

My Experience with the Product:

Eucerin is another brand that I trust after Cetaphil. Just like Cetaphil, this is dermatologically tested and considered safe on sensitive skin. The smoothing repair lotion is meant to be used on dry skin. It is not a facial lotion. However, I ended up using it on my face during the winters. The lotion didn’t cause me any kind of breakouts at all. The lotion is fragrance free. It is white colored lotion. I didn’t have any concerns with the ingredients in the product. The problem was with how it felt on my skin. On a scale of lightweight to rich, this is rates as 3 on 5 which is moderately rich. The thing is this lotion doesn’t sink into the skin. It forms a glossy film like layer on the skin. It also feels sticky on the skin. I started using this immediately after coming out of shower. It worked better that way. It would soak into the skin not completely though. The sticky feeling still stayed. I didn’t like this as much.

Dermasil Dry Skin Treatment Original Lotion Review

I see myself visiting the dollar store more often. I do pick up a few bath and body products form the dollar store. I bought the ‘Dermasil dry skin treatment original lotion’. Read on to see if I liked the product or not.

Price: $1

Quantity: 8 fl. oz./ 237ml. Also available in 16 oz.

Active Ingredient: Dimethicone

Inactive Ingredients: Water, Petrolatum, Mineral Oil, Stearic Acid, Helianthus Annus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Glycerin, Glycol Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate , Cetyl Acetate, Acetylated Lanolin, Alcohol, Triethanolamine, Lecithin, Borago Officinalis Seed Oil, Cholesterol, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Carbomer, Peg-40 Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Prunus Amygoalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Ethylene Brassylate, Santalium Album (Sandalwood) Oil, Cymbopogon Martini Oil, Rosa Damascena Extract, Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract, Stearmide Amp, Disodium Edta, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, and Dmdm Hydantoin

My experience with the product:

First of all I was very impressed with this cream that I just got for a buck. This performs much better than the other drugstore brands. This is a milky colored cream but has a very thick consistency. It has a very very mild fragrance which is pleasant. I got the 8 oz. bottle that came with a flip top cap. The only drawback was that it was really difficult to squeeze the lotion out of the bottle. This is called a lotion but the consistency is that of a cream. I wish this came in a squeeze tube or a simple plain tub which would have been much more convenient. I finally cut the bottle into half and scooped out the product and stored it in a jar. I had seen a squeeze tube and a pump bottle too. I’ll try one of them. The cream is very moisturizing and sinks into the skin after a while without leaving any oily residue. I used this cream during the onset of the winters and it did an amazing job in keeping my skin nice and supple through the day.

see how it stays on my finger :| its definitely a cream and not a lotion
