My Experience with the Product:

Eucerin is another brand that I trust after Cetaphil. Just like Cetaphil, this is dermatologically tested and considered safe on sensitive skin. The smoothing repair lotion is meant to be used on dry skin. It is not a facial lotion. However, I ended up using it on my face during the winters. The lotion didn’t cause me any kind of breakouts at all. The lotion is fragrance free. It is white colored lotion. I didn’t have any concerns with the ingredients in the product. The problem was with how it felt on my skin. On a scale of lightweight to rich, this is rates as 3 on 5 which is moderately rich. The thing is this lotion doesn’t sink into the skin. It forms a glossy film like layer on the skin. It also feels sticky on the skin. I started using this immediately after coming out of shower. It worked better that way. It would soak into the skin not completely though. The sticky feeling still stayed. I didn’t like this as much.

L’Oreal Carbon Black Mascara Review

Standard

Today I am reviewing a mascara from one of the most loved brands in the eye makeup department from the drugstore – the original ‘carbon black mascara from L’Oreal’.

My Experience with the Mascara:

I admit I have started using mascara very recently. I am not a mascara person at all. This is one of the first mascaras I have used. I have fairly long lashes. The problem I have with my lashes is that my lashes fall flat and they lashes do not hold up a curl. I knew that I did not need a lengthening mascara but needed a volumising one. When I started searching, I found that L’Oreal carbon black mascara is popular with everyone. Needless to say, I bought it on my subsequent trip to the drugstore. I had great expectations from this mascara. First of all, my lashes clump when I apply this mascara. After applying this, I literally go over with the dual ended mascara and brow brush to declump it. Secondly, it flakes. It flakes a lot and I have the flakes all over my undereye within an hour or 2 after applying. I have noticed that on the days I don’t declump this mascara, it flakes way more than usual.

On the other hand, I do like the brush. It’s a standard bristled brush. I did get a compliment from my bf when we were out one evening. He was taking my pictures and he instantly commented “you have humungous lashes.” Clearly, the mascara does a great job with volumising and it also held up the curl very well. It is really carbon black. I put some make up remover on my makeup remover towelette to take off this mascara. Also, the packaging is very sleek and easy to carry around. I have a love hate relationship with this mascara. I am not sure where the problem is. Either I don’t know how to apply a mascara or the formula has dried up.

Pros:

  1. Gives a great volume
  2. It is carbon black
  3. Standard bristled brush
  4. No sensitivity to my eyes of an sort
  5. Sleek packaging

Cons:

  1. Very flaky formula

Ratings: 3.5/5

Will you repurchase? I am going to give this another try for sure.

P.S.: I will keep this post updated.

Eucerin Hand Cream Review

Standard

I use a lot of hand creams and I use it all year round and use a lot more during the winters. I picked up this eucerin hand cream at my local dollar tree. When I saw it at dollar tree, I picked it up without a thought because I have used Eucerin and I love the brand Eucerin.

My experience with the hand cream:

This product is marked 2 on a scale of lightweight to rich. If you are familiar to this brand, you would know that Eucerin has this mark on all its products. So this is towards lightweight. The consistency of the product is perfect. You just need to apply a dime size and rub it in between your palms. For a hand cream, I prefer a product that is not too greasy and keeps my hand well moisturized. With this product, I have noticed that my hands are instantly moisturized without making it greasy. I can go back to writing immediately after I have applied it during a class. It smells a little mint like. The fragrance in this is very subtle, it’s gone after you have applied the product. I totally like this product. I would carry this everywhere and it has a sturdy packaging with a flip top cap.
